The Free Market

 

The free marked determines the allocation of resources in a capitalistic system. Advocates of the free market are quick to point out mis-allocation of resources which happen in non-free, planned economies.  

The free market devotes a substantial portion of its useful energy to the generation of digital currency, which has no practical benefit. .

The free market devotes a substantial portion of the CPU cycles of our computers to the development of video games.  These games syphon time and energy of young people away from educational pursuits into useless entertainment.

 

The free market pays huge salaries to  people who manage hedge funds which help the rich get even richer. Teachers, who mold our children into citizens, are paid less than 1/10 as much.

 

The free market produces profits for companies which develop and market unhealthy foods which are designed to be addictive.
